Hello, and Welcome to Rogue Music Academy!

On this page you’ll find our standard membership terms. Please read through the membership policies and if you have any questions you can reach our offices anytime at (541) 292-4247.

General Membership Terms

Lessons will be billed monthly on the date of the first lesson following your free trial. You won’t be billed for anything until your first lesson after your initial free trial. To cancel without being charged for any lessons simply visit RogueMusicAcademy.com/change and fill out the form there at least 24 hours before the start of your first billing cycle. After that date lessons will continue to be billed month-to-month unless cancelled.

Any authorized purchases registered to your account (books, guitar strings, etc.) will be processed to the card on file. Tuition will be billed according to the terms listed in the “Billing” section of this page.

Holidays

We take one week off each season so that there is always an average of four lessons per month. The exact dates vary each year, but these break weeks are schedule around Spring Break, the 4th of July, Labor Day, and Christmas. We are also out Thanksgiving and New Years Day, if your lesson falls on either of those days you’ll receive a makeup credit that can be used to schedule a free lesson anytime within the next month.

Makeups and Missed Lessons

If you are unable to attend your regularly scheduled lesson simply give us a call at (541) 292-4247 or send an email to info@RogueMusicAcademy.com. We are usually able to schedule a makeup lesson if we receive at least 24 hours notice. We can also set up a live video lesson over Zoom or Skype if you’re simply unable to make it into the studio but otherwise available.

We are unable to offer refunds if you’re not able to make it your regular appointment and are unable to schedule a makeup or virtual session. We are also unable to schedule makeup appointments for lessons missed without prior notice, as we reserve a space for each student in the schedule.

Teacher Absences

Your lessons are scheduled with the same instructor each week, so that you can build a relationship with them and follow a consistent lesson plan. Occasionally, however, they may need to miss an appointment and in those cases one of our other instructors trained in the specific area and instrument that you’re studying may substitute for your regular teacher.

If a substitute is not available, you will receive a makeup credit that can be used to schedule a free lesson anytime within the next month. If this happens more than once a quarter (Jan-March, April-June, July-Sep, Oct-Dec) then you will have the option of scheduling a makeup or receiving a discount on your next month’s membership equal to the cost of the missed lesson.

Billing and Pricing

Our standard membership includes automatic payment and we do need to have a valid card on file for all recurring memberships, but you can also pay using cash or check at the studio during your regular lesson time. Cash or check payments must be received before the start of your billing cycle, otherwise payment will be processed to the card on file.

Your initial payment will be processed on the date of your first lesson following your free trial (for new students) or on the date of your first lesson (for returning students) and will be prorated based on the number of lessons remaining in that month. For example, if there are two lessons remaining in a month that typically includes four, your payment will be reduced by 50%.

Subsequent billing cycles will cover the first to the last day of each month, with payments processed within a few business days of the 1st of each month (or the 5th of the month for Kindermusik classes). To cancel or make changes to your payment date, please submit requests at least 24 hours before the start of your billing cycle by visiting RogueMusicAcademy.com/change.

As we reserve a space in the instructor’s schedule for each student we aren’t able to roll missed lessons over into the following month or offer credits for lessons missed by students, but speak with your teacher if you ever have to miss a class and they’ll do their best to schedule a makeup appointment for you.

Private Lessons

We are proud to offer an affordable cost for high-quality, professional private lessons. Your first two months of lessons will be billed at our introductory price of only $179 per month for weekly, private 30 minute lessons. Cancellations and Deposits

If you ever need to cancel your lessons that’s no problem, although we’ll be sad to see you go. To avoid any miscommunications we do require that all cancelation requests be made at RogueMusicAcademy.com/change. Cancelation requests made via other methods (phone calls, text messages, emails, etc.) may not be processed in time to avoid charges and we are unable to offer refunds if a cancelation request was not made via our website.

Any deposits made to reserve lessons are 100% refundable if the lessons are cancelled at least 24 hours before your free trial, or if you attend your free trial lesson and cancel at least 24 hours before your first billing cycle begins.

Please note that your instructor is not able to cancel or reschedule your lessons and they will instead refer you to the website or to our main office. Once canceled, you won’t you won’t be charged for any ongoing lessons after your membership ends.

We are usually unable to offer refunds for partial billing periods if lessons are canceled unexpectedly, as each teacher only has so much space in their schedule. However, if you know in advance that you’re going to be out of town or otherwise unable to attend lessons for a period of time, let us know, we may be able to temporarily suspend your membership or prorate your billing cycle so you aren’t paying for lessons you aren’t able to attend.

Thank you for your patronage, if you have any questions please contact our main office at (541) 292-4247. We’ll look forward to seeing you at your first lesson!
