Our One-on-One Lessons provide private music instruction for a wide range of instruments, including piano, guitar, vocals, violin (and all strings), ukulele, bass guitar, and more. Bands and Ensembles

Our Rock Bands and Ensembles programs offer a dynamic and collaborative environment for musicians of all levels. Whether you’re interested in joining a rock band, orchestra, or choir, these groups provide an opportunity to enhance your musical skills and perform with others.

Participants will engage in regular rehearsals, learning to play and sing in harmony, while exploring a diverse repertoire of music. Our experienced instructors guide each ensemble, fostering teamwork, creativity, and a deeper understanding of musical concepts. Join us and experience the thrill of making music together in a supportive and inspiring setting.

Meet our Teachers

Dea KissPiano

Dea Kiss has been a part of Rogue Music Academy since 2021, where she passionately tailors her teaching to each student’s unique learning style. A dedicated member of the Oregon Music Teachers Association, she constantly refines her methods through various professional development opportunities.

Dea’s musical journey began in Hungary and continued in Oregon, leading to a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Southern Oregon University. Outside of teaching, she enjoys classical performances, local events, reading, and outdoor activities in Medford, Oregon.

Landon Strine – Piano, Guitar, Drums, and Strings

Landon Strine is a seasoned musician who has performed across North and Central America, including a memorable performance at Carnegie Hall. After earning his Music Composition degree in 2009, he dedicated himself to teaching young musicians. He has led orchestras at Ruch Elementary and Madrone Trail and taught ukulele and guitar at various schools.

In 2018, Landon began bringing music to retirement homes, dedicating nearly 600 hours to this cause. His expertise extends to recording, mixing, and production. Outside his career, Landon is a proud father, a gardening enthusiast, and enjoys vinyl records and barbecuing at his East Medford home.

Muriel Sadlier-HartVocals, Children’s Groups

Muriel Garcia-Hart is a renowned vocalist known for her versatile performances in opera, oratorio, concert, and sacred music throughout the Rogue Valley. She has performed with Brava Opera and the Rogue Valley Symphony, and has been a principal singer with the Southern Oregon Repertory Singers since 2014.

Muriel’s solo recitals, such as “The Realm of Song,” showcase her ability to convey powerful messages through music. She earned her Master of Music in Performance from the Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University, where she also taught music theory and voice. Originally from Sitka, Alaska, Muriel now resides in Ashland, Oregon. She enjoys exploring Oregon’s landscapes, has eclectic musical tastes, and has a lifelong passion for dance.

Joseph WongAdvanced Piano

Yan Shun Joseph Wong, a distinguished pianist from Hong Kong, holds a B.A. in Piano Performance from Hong Kong Baptist University and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Southern Oregon University, where he studied under Dr. Alexander Tutunov. His talent earned him multiple scholarships, and he has performed at notable events such as the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City and the Perugia Music Festival in Italy.

In 2022, Joseph received a full scholarship to the University of Florida International Piano Festival. Wong has performed extensively on the West Coast and was recognized in the 2022 MTNA national competition. He is also a young Kawai artist representing the International Association of Professional Music Teachers.

Victoria SuttonPiano

Victoria Sutton began her musical journey at age seven with piano lessons and expanded to cello by fourth grade, participating in her school band and a youth orchestra in the San Francisco Bay Area. She performed at Davies Symphony Hall as a member of the Young People’s Symphony Orchestra. While skilled in multiple instruments, Victoria’s primary passion is the piano, both in playing and teaching, a role she began in high school. She also served as the primary pianist at her church.

Victoria’s academic focus shifted to music during her sophomore year at Southern Oregon University under Dr. Alexander Tutunov’s guidance. Victoria now aims to inspire the next generation of musicians at Rogue Music Academy, with a major in music and a minor in Elementary Education.

Tiana Wong – Piano

Tiana Wong, an accomplished pianist from Hong Kong, earned her Master’s in Piano Performance from Southern Oregon University under Dr. Alexander Tutunov and her B.A. (Honours) in Music Performance from Hong Kong Baptist University. She has received numerous scholarships, including the Evans Family Scholarship and the HKSAR Government Talent Development Scholarship. In 2022, she won the Brookings Harbor Friends of Music Competition, leading to a masterclass with Vladimir Feltsman, and was a finalist in the Memphis International Piano Competition.

Tiana has participated in masterclasses with notable figures like Andrew Cooperstock and Anthony de Mare. She has performed with the SOU Wind Ensemble, Rogue Valley Symphonic Band, and the Siskiyou Violins, and took part in the Ashland Chamber Music Workshop in 2023. Internationally, she performed at the Music Fest Perugia in Italy and attended the University of Florida International Piano Festival on a full scholarship in 2022.
