Hello, and Welcome to Rogue Music Academy!

On this page you’ll find our standard membership terms. Please read through the membership policies and if you have any questions you can reach our offices anytime at (541) 292-4247.

General Membership Terms

Lessons will be billed monthly on the date of the first lesson following your free trial, or on the date of the first lesson for returning students. New students won’t be billed for anything until the date of their first lesson after their initial free trial. To cancel without being charged for any lessons simply visit RogueMusicAcademy.com/change and fill out the form there at least 24 hours before the start of your first billing cycle. After that date lessons will continue to be billed month-to-month unless cancelled.

Any authorized purchases registered to your account (books, guitar strings, etc.) will be processed to the card on file. Tuition will be billed according to the terms listed in the “Billing and Pricing” section of this page.

Please note that your instructor is unable to make any billing or scheduling changes, including cancellations or scheduling makeups, and they will instead refer you to contact our front desk or main office at info@RogueMusicAcademy.com or (541) 292-4247.

Free trial lessons are available to new students whose regular lessons will be scheduled at a location within the student’s city of residence. We reserve the right to limit free trial eligibility for students whose location makes ongoing participation impractical.

Missed Lessons and Scheduling Changes

If you are unable to attend your regularly scheduled lesson, please give us a call at (541) 292-4247 or send an email to info@RogueMusicAcademy.com. If you notify our office at least 24 hours in advance of your missed lesson, whether by phone, email, text, or in person, we can schedule a makeup lesson at any available time on your teacher’s schedule before your next regularly scheduled lesson.

If we do not receive at least 24 hrs notice, or if you miss your lesson without notifying the office, we may still be able to schedule a makeup lesson before your next regularly scheduled lesson. In these cases, makeup lessons are limited to times that become available when another student cancels with less than 24 hrs notice. Because we are contractually obligated to pay your instructor for sessions canceled with less than 24 hrs notice, makeup lessons in these cases are limited to last minute openings. This allows us to guarantee your weekly lesson time while ensuring that your instructor is fairly compensated.

If sufficient notice is given, we can also arrange a live video lesson over Zoom or a similar live video platform if you are unable to come into the studio but are otherwise available. Availability for live video lessons is dependent on the student’s internet connection and the student correctly setting up their device for music lessons. Instructions will be provided but it is the student’s responsibility to set up their device and ensure a solid internet connection.

Because teachers have limited availability and a dedicated spot is reserved for each student, makeup lessons typically need to be scheduled within one week of the missed session in order to avoid overloading teacher schedules. Exceptions may occasionally be made depending on the circumstances and the teacher’s availability.

Please note that your instructor is unable to make scheduling changes, including scheduling makeups, and they will instead refer you to contact our front desk or main office at info@RogueMusicAcademy.com or (541) 292-4247.

Should your membership change mid-billing cycle to a cheaper plan, or if your instructor misses a session, you will receive a credit on your following billing cycle.

As we reserve a space in the instructor’s schedule for each student we aren’t able to roll missed lessons over into the following month or offer credits or refunds for lessons missed by students. If you anticipate that you may have to miss a lesson please contact our front desk or main office at info@RogueMusicAcademy.com or (541) 292-4247,  and we’ll do our best to schedule a makeup appointment for you.

Lessons begin and end at their scheduled times. Late arrivals do not extend the lesson duration.

Teacher Absences

Your lessons are scheduled with the same instructor each week, so that you can build a relationship with them and follow a consistent lesson plan. Occasionally, however, they may need to miss an appointment and in those cases one of our other instructors trained in the specific area and instrument that you’re studying may substitute for your regular teacher. If a substitute is not available, we will work with you to schedule a makeup session. If a makeup cannot be scheduled then a credit for the missed lesson will be applied to your next billing cycle.

Inclement Weather and Unforeseen Closures

In the event of inclement weather, power outages, unsafe travel conditions, or other circumstances beyond the Academy’s control that require the studio to close, lessons may be canceled or moved to a virtual format when possible. Rogue Music Academy will make reasonable efforts to notify families as soon as possible. Makeup lessons or alternative arrangements may be offered at the Academy’s discretion based on instructor availability and scheduling constraints.

Billing and Pricing

Our standard membership includes automatic payments, and we require a valid card on file for all recurring memberships, but you can also pay using cash or check at the studio during your regular lesson time. Cash or check payments must be received before the start of your billing cycle, otherwise payment will be processed to the card on file.

Your initial payment will be processed using your card on file the day before of your second lesson (for new students), or on the day before your first lesson for returning students, and will be prorated based on the number of lessons remaining in that month.

Subsequent billing cycles will cover the first to the last day of each month, with payments processed within a few business days of the 1st of each month (or the 6th of the month for Kindermusik classes). To cancel or make changes to your payment date, please submit requests at least 24 hours before the start of your billing cycle by visiting RogueMusicAcademy.com/change.

Payment for each billing cycle is required before attending the first lesson in that cycle. If payment is not received in time, your membership may be temporarily paused, and you’ll be notified by phone or text. Tuition for that billing cycle is still due in full, even if attendance is interrupted. Once payment is received, any missed lessons from that cycle can be scheduled, although we may not be able to hold your original time slot or guarantee availability with your preferred instructor. In cases of repeated missed or declined payments across multiple billing cycles, we may require that future payments be made up to two weeks in advance of the billing cycle to ensure continuity of lessons.

In the case of a declined payment, we may retry the payment automatically over the following days. If you’re switching payment methods or need help updating your information, just let us know and we’ll be happy to assist. Declined payments may result in the overdue balance being processed with future billing cycles, if payment is not received prior to the subsequent cycle.

Monthly tuition for private lessons is based on four scheduled lessons per month. If there are more or fewer lessons scheduled in a given month, your tuition will be adjusted accordingly. The per-lesson rate remains the same. For example: if there are three lessons in the month your tuition will be reduced by 25%, if there are four lessons in the month your tuition will be billed at the rates listed below, and if there are five lessons in the month your tuition will be increased by 25%.

Ensembled and group classes follow a seasonal calendar, with one scheduled break each season around major holidays. This ensures there is an average of four lessons per month.

Due to processing times, payments may be processed within a few days following each billing date.

Private Lessons

We are proud to offer an affordable cost for high-quality, professional private lessons. Your first two billing cycles will be billed at our introductory price of $179 per month for weekly, private 30-minute lessons. You can keep that price locked in with our annual membership (see below). Otherwise, your membership will renew at $199 per month after the introductory period.

1-hour weekly private lessons are available for $398 per month (or $358 during the introductory period or with an annual membership, see below), and 45-minute weekly lessons are available for $298 per month (or $268 during the introductory period or with an annual membership, see below).

We also offer a substantial discount for the student teacher program, depending on the experience level of the student taking lessons.

For more information on pricing and options please give us a call at (541) 292-4247.

An additional discount may be added based on the number of lessons scheduled. For example, if the base rate is $199 per month for an average month of four lessons, the discount will be at least $19.90 per month.

Student Conduct and Etiquette

We are committed to maintaining a positive, welcoming, and family-friendly environment at Rogue Music Academy. All students, parents, guardians, and visitors are expected to treat our instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect at all times.

For the safety of our staff and other students, inappropriate, aggressive, or threatening behavior — whether verbal or physical — will not be tolerated. This applies to students as well as any family members or guests who accompany them to lessons. We also ask that all clients dress and speak in a manner that reflects the family-oriented nature of our studio.

If such behavior occurs, the student’s lesson may be ended immediately. In more serious cases, the student’s membership may be terminated at the discretion of the studio.

Rogue Music Academy staff reserves the right to determine what constitutes appropriate and inappropriate conduct within the studio and to take action as necessary to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for everyone.

Student Drop-Off and Supervision

Rogue Music Academy is a music education facility and does not provide childcare or assume responsibility for the supervision of minors on our premises.

A parent or guardian is required to remain on-site for students under the age of 12. If a student is dropped off, parents and guardians acknowledge that Rogue Music Academy staff and instructors are not responsible for supervising the student beyond the instructional context of the lesson. Instructors will oversee and lead the lesson itself, but they are not responsible for the student’s general supervision, behavior, or safety before or after the scheduled lesson time.

Unaccompanied minors are expected to behave appropriately and in accordance with our Student Conduct & Etiquette policy. If a student engages in disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior while on-site, the parent or guardian may be contacted and required to return to the studio immediately. Ongoing issues may result in the student being required to have a parent or guardian present at all future lessons.

Students must be picked up promptly after their lesson ends. Students are free to wait in the hallway waiting area until they are picked up. We are not responsible for students who remain on the premises after their scheduled lesson time.

By enrolling at Rogue Music Academy, parents and guardians agree to these terms and acknowledge that our studio is not liable for the care or supervision of students outside the instructional context of their lessons.

Cancellations and Deposits

If you ever need to cancel your lessons that’s no problem, although we’ll be sad to see you go. To avoid any miscommunications we do require that all cancellation requests be made at RogueMusicAcademy.com/change. Cancellation requests made via other methods (phone calls, text messages, emails, etc.) may not be processed in time to avoid charges and we are unable to offer refunds if a cancellation request was not made via our website. All cancellations must be made at least 24 hrs prior to the start of the upcoming billing cycle.

Any deposits made to reserve lessons are 100% refundable if the lessons are cancelled at least 24 hours before your free trial, or if you attend your free trial lesson and cancel at least 24 hours before your first billing cycle begins. Once your membership is canceled you won’t be billed for any ongoing lessons.

Please note that your instructor is not able to cancel or reschedule your lessons and they will instead refer you to the website, front desk, or to our main office at info@RogueMusicAcademy.com or (541) 292-4247.

Memberships will not be automatically canceled due to missed lessons or lack of attendance, including missed free trial classes. If a student does not attend lessons for four consecutive weeks and we have not received any communication from the student or their family during that time, Rogue Music Academy reserves the right to cancel the membership. In such cases, a refund may be issued for any remaining prepaid lessons.

We are unable to offer refunds for partial billing periods if a membership is canceled after the billing cycle has begun, as each teacher holds a reserved spot in their schedule for you. However, if you know in advance that you’re going to be out of town or otherwise unable to attend lessons for a period of time, let us know, we may be able to temporarily suspend your membership or prorate your billing cycle so you aren’t paying for lessons you aren’t able to attend.

Rogue Music Academy does not sell or share student personal information with third parties. Information collected during enrollment or ongoing membership may be used for internal administrative purposes, scheduling, billing, studio communications, and Academy related announcements or marketing. This may include email, text messages, phone calls, or other reasonable forms of communication related to Academy services, programs, or events.

Payment information is handled through secure third party payment processors and is not stored directly by Rogue Music Academy.
